This was the headline on the front page of 'Indy Week',
a weekly tabloid disguised as a serious newspaper.
The reason Indy Week decided it was worthy of the front
page is due to its incessant bigotry cloaked in a gown of
tolerance, the one way street Liberalism travels on!

This bigotry is towards any person, group or institution, even religions
which do not, or can not, accept 'non traditional' standards!

In the story Indy Week railed against non public schools, particularly
religious ones, receiving tax dollars from state coffers. This is not a
new concern, but this 'holier than thou' proclamation has less to do
with religious schools getting funding than it does with many of them
supporting HB2, the legislation which limits access to restrooms,

locker rooms and other facilities to same sex individuals!
Indy Week showed its 'hand'. mentioning almost immediately that a
member of the clergy, Bishop Patrick L. Wooden, is "an avowed
anti-LGBTQ activist who has featured prominently at pro-HB 2 rallies".

The position on HB2 has nothing to do with funding, but Paul Blest,
the reporter, felt it was worth mentioning. The article goes on and
cherry picks failures in some non public school but neglects to mention
successes. I doubt you will ever see the paper list the failing public
schools of the 170 in Wake County.

THIS is what the media does, create whatever narrative advances its
position, especially if it is against the paper's partisan interests.

If you are familiar with Indy week, you are well aware of what is going
on, its nothing new. Indy Week is pipe organ, an adopted 'child' of the

Limited governance, less regulations, lowering taxes, reducing deficits,
eliminating debt...means nothing to them.

"Ideology" is the Gospel they defer to. Other views are refuted and
disrespected. The desires of the electorate do not concern them, and
politicians elected are damned.

This is the rigidity of closed minds and intolerance, and even comes
at the expense of religious faiths built on a foundation thousands of
years old.

Such toxic 'journalism' MUST be responded to. Ignoring or being
indifferent to what really matters means such attacks do not matter.

I urge members of the General Assembly respond accordingly, the
majority of the public depend on it!
