Rebuilding America, one project at a time......
When in came to rebuilding America's infrastructure we saw how President
Obama "got things done". We will now have the opportunity to see how an
experienced executive will do it.
President Trump began his campaign telling us "all politicians do is talk",
only to pass problems long with us to the next generation of politicians.
His candidacy included addressing our broken national infrastructure,
similar to what President Obama did when he touted "creating shovel
ready jobs".
We saw the results of Obama's plan, over $1 trillion with little to show,
other than funneling our tax dollars to favored businesses.
http://www.christianpost.com/news/stimulus-money-for-shovel-ready-projects-where-did-it-go-92666/
It appears this will not occur under President Trump's plan. He is showing
us, before one dollar is spent, what projects are part of his plan.
Trump's pronouncement of fixing our infrastructure was not without actual
projects, that we can hold him accountable for. Unlike Obama, this plan
includes a list of fifty projects that demand attention, from increased energy,
mass transit, dams, bridges and causeways, congested thoroughfares, port
terminals and many others, all identified even before he won. If nothing else
he backed campaign promises with details.
President Trump also cites the cost which will be equally shared with the
private sector. Best is that the cost to taxpayers will be one third of the
fraudulent promise of "shovel ready jobs" that never materialized.
This link identifies these projects. http://read.bi/2lEdX5w
Look them over, see how they blanket our nation, priorities which require
attention that are long overdue.

Did Democrats win a battle in the war they have already lost?
Today I learned that Attorney General Jeff Sessions will recuse himself,
not participating in any investigations of Russian involvement in the
presidential election or contacts with President Trump's associates,
that may be an outcome of Congressional hearings.
Sessions is the 'scalp' Democrats were after since he was nominated
to head the Justice Dept. They tried everything, especially the
fraudulent race card, that finds its way to any deck they deal.
But, it was not only the Democrats who went after Session, "get along"
Republicans also felt compelled to join them, clueless to the primary
objective, undermine the legitimacy of the Trump presidency.
Now, its done. Some will view Sessions decision an admmission of
"guilt", even though no evidence has been offered. From this day
forward words such as 'disgraced' or 'alleged' will be in stories about him.
But, what can we expect going forward? We already know what the
Democrats will do, continue their mindless, solution-less diatribe
which offer the American people nothing!
No matter the whining, organized protests, the rioting, the assaults and
destruction, without a campaign to resolve America's problems the
Democrat Party will remain in the political wilderness.
The Democrats may have won an insignificant battle, but they continue
to lose this more important war that will restore our country to its former
greatness.
All Americans who understand the critical times we live in should remain
thankful Donald Trump is our president. He will not abandon people he
believes in. And, no one is higher on this list than Jeff Sessions!

Let's REALLY investigate Russian influence in American governance!
As expected spineless Republicans are back on their heels, not
knowing how to respond to the allegations that Russia "influenced"
the election and had "relationship" with Trump and his associates.
This is what is driving most Democrats, some Republicans and
media to demand Congress hold hearings and Atty. Gen. Sessions
recuse himself from any investigation and even resign!
If there is such a clamor to go down this "Yellow Brick Road" to
nowhere, I urge Congress to go further back, to "somewhere",
which brings you to the beginning of the Obama Administration!
While the media will not report this in stories of Russian influence,
it may have first occurred soon after Barack Obama was sworn in.
We can first point to the infamous 'red button' Secy of State Hillary
Clinton gave to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov when they
met in March, 2009, to demonstrate President Obama wanted to
'reset the relationship', but not stating what this would mean.
In the Fall of 2009, we had our first clue what this meant, as Obama
reneged on our commitment to defend Europe which may have
telegraphed to Putin he could become more emboldened, leading
Russia to go into over Crimea over objections of the independent
Ukraine!
This decision appeared to 'come out of the blue', as it was never
mentioned by Obama during his campaign.
Less than a year later uranium mined in Wyoming was sent to Russia.
Granted this sale was part of a long term agreement between our
countries, but should have been held up based on Putin behavior in
the Eastern Europe and Middle East.
Nor should we forget the 'whispered' promise by President Obama,
caught on a hot mike, "After My Election I Have More Flexibility"
to Russian president Dmitry Medvedev in May, 2012 during his
campaign for a second term.
This curious relationship between President Obama and Putin meant
nothing to Democrats, or even feckless Republicans when they claimed
the majorities.
Yet now sharpened knives are pointing to anyone associated with
President Trump with one purpose, to bring down his presidency!
Get used to this...but remain confident. President Trumps spine
is made of hardened steel, a missing ingredient in too many
notable Republicans.
So, lets have a full blown hearing on Russia, expand it for an entire
decade. Let the public learn which Administration really worked
against our country's interests.

A disturbing first in American politics....
I received the following from SC acquaintance and wanted to share.
The question which looms in my mind, "will it work". As concerned
as I am, I am also equally confident it will fail.
as I am, I am also equally confident it will fail.
Obama and his "30,000 strong" believe any of the following. They "miss",
"dismiss", "underestimate", "not respect" the American people, who for
the most part understand the foundation of our country, its principles,
solidarity and love of nation.
"dismiss", "underestimate", "not respect" the American people, who for
the most part understand the foundation of our country, its principles,
solidarity and love of nation.
What can the "30,00 strong" actually do to undermine our great nation?
The evidence has already proven, not much. Remember, it was only two
months ago Donald Trump won the presidency against odds greater than
this Obama effort can muster?

They will try working hand in glove with its already connected sources in
the Democrat establishment, donors and media.
the Democrat establishment, donors and media.
But, the only thing which can seriously effect President Trump is the failure
of the Republican Party to follow through on many "solutions" he campaigned
on. His success will be the party's success.
of the Republican Party to follow through on many "solutions" he campaigned

As you read about Obama's "30,000 strong", it can do nothing to compare with
the assault on President Trump.
the assault on President Trump.
Lastly, Obama desires has one crippling flaw....it offers no answers to problems
the American people care about!
the American people care about!
The ex-president said he was going to stay involved through community organizing and speak out on the issues, and that appears to be one post-administration promise he intends to keep. He has moved many of his administration's top dogs over to an organization called Organizing for Action (OFA).
OFA is dedicated to organizing communities for progressive change. Issues are gun control, socialist healthcare, abortion, sexual equality, climate change, and of course, immigration reform. OFA members were propped up by the ex-"president's" message from the shadows: "Organizing is the building block of everything great we've accomplished. Organizers around the country are organizing in their communities and OFA is one of the groups on the front lines. Commit to this work in 2016 and beyond."
The OFA website says it obtained its "digital" assets from the ex-president's re-election effort and that he inspired the movement. In short it's the shadow government organization aimed at resisting and tearing down the Constitutional Republic.
Paul Sperry, writing for the New York Post, says OFA is an army of agitators 30,000 strong who will fight President Donald Trump at every turn of his presidency and the ex-president "will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House." Sperry writes that the ex-president is setting up a shadow government to sabotage the incoming administration through a network of leftist nonprofits led by OFA, which is growing its war chest (currently more than $40 million) and has some 250 offices nationwide. OFA’s IRS filings, according to Sperry, indicate OFA has 32,525 volunteers nationwide. The ex-president and his wife will oversee the operation from their foundation office near the White House.
Think about how this works. Trump issues an immigration executive order; OFA signals for protests and statements from Islamic and pro-immigrant leftist groups; ACLU lawyers file lawsuits in jurisdictions where activist judges obstruct the laws; volunteers are called to protest at airports and Congressional town hall meetings; the leftist media springs to action; the twittersphere lights up with revolutionary social media; violence ala University of California follows. All of this emanates from the ex-president's signal that he is heartened by the protests. Sad times are ahead.
Don’t believe there is an OFA?
From Wikipedia:
Organizing for Action (OFA) is a nonprofit 501(c)4 organization and community organizing project that advocates for the agenda of former U.S. President Barack Obama.[2][3] The organization is officially non-partisan,[3] but its agenda and policies are strongly allied with the Democratic Party.[4] It is the successor of Obama's 2012 re-election campaign and of Organizing for America, which itself succeeded Obama's 2008 campaign.[5]
Founded after Obama's re-election, the group seeks to mobilize supporters in favor of Obama's legislative priorities. OFA is registered as a 501(c)(4) organization,[6] which may advocate for legislation but is prohibited from specifically supporting political candidates.[7]

Americans thoughts of President Trumps address to Congress.
These are unedited responses to request for feedback from those who watched President Trump's speech before Congress.
It is encouraging people from diverse backgrounds, scattered in several states from North Carolina to Hawaii offered such positive, well-articulated, opinions.
Anthony Bruno
Judy Hile
What
I want to say to our Hawaii delegation is just this - "If you can't see
the competence and goodness in this man, I feel sorry for you."
He
speech was phenomenal for anyone else but him. It was no more and no
less than I expected from him. He is one of a kind and the only one who
could do this! Time for Dems to get on the Trump train or go home and
pout but don't stand in the door!
Ben Trnka
I
think what would be REALLY worthwhile would be for a blogger of your
caliber to watch Bush's first Address to Congress, then Obama's, then
Trumps' s, and compare / contrast them. Individually, they are
meaningless 'feel good' speeches. However, context informs the
differences in style, approach, and priorities.
I would really look forward to something like this from you.
Kevin Slinkman
First, the speech is nothing new all points of the speech were covered in his campaign. No surprised there. What's different here is that some people that never paid attention to him did this time. As far as I'm concerned he has been rock steady in regards to his message.
beldeen@optonline.net
I
was on an emotional high after the speech. I finally feel we have a
shot to getting our country back. 8 years of Trump and then 8 years of
Pence should do it! I was uplifted and felt great hope for us and our
country. President Trump is a man of his word, a man of action and
loves his country. The best of the best lines was when President Trump
said he does not represent the world ... he represents the United States
of America. He probably did not say it exactly like that but you know
the line.
Edward Gabel
Outstanding speech
The issues about working people - I laughed
out
loud because Trump took them under his wing. He took what used to be
the core base of the Democrat party
and claimed it for himself. Trump is a better democrat than the whole bunch of Democrats out there today.
and claimed it for himself. Trump is a better democrat than the whole bunch of Democrats out there today.
Protecting American jobs and paychecks by putting American citizens first
Trump also claimed school choice. That's a total winner. Democrats fouled up big time on that when they
scratched it
scratched it
If Trump can accomplish some of the things he wants, Democrats are triangulated out of a large group of likely voters
Message that freedom and opportunity is for all Americans is a winner as well
I
saw today Oprah wants to run for president. Ridiculous although she
could maybe make a good showing in half a dozen primaries - at best.
Vivian Nicolsen
It
was one of the best speeches - definitely his best speech! Totally on
point and to the people not the politicians - first time I'm proud to
say I voted for him 🇱🇷
CAROL WHEELDON
I
thought he was spot on! I even saw a few Democrats hold onto their
hands strongly so they wouldn't get caught clapping! Very presidential.
Even Van (Commie) Jones said the Democrats better start to say "Yes!"
or Trump will be President for 8 years. I thought some of the MSM
comments after the speech were terrible. I was embarrassed for them.
Ms Pelosi must have had new facial surgery because she couldn't even
smile. (She really looks old when she doesn't smile.) I was very proud
of Trump. He was as "presidential" as I have ever seen him. If 78% of
the viewing audience (according to the polls) were positive about his
speech, then the Dems had better walk softly for awhile, or they will
become even more insignificant. He is exactly the man I voted for.
First time since Reagan that I can remember enjoying a presidential
speech.
I love it that he kept details minimum. No pre-advertising our intentions. He's a very smart man. I think even some of the Rino's are going to have to watch their speech for awhile.
I also love that he put down the media without even mentioning them. Seems the MSM had been reporting that one of the Generals in Trump's inner circle had convinced him not to use the term "Radical Islamic Terrorism". Did you notice how he paused, and then almost shouted the words. Loved it!
Julie Simons
I thought Trump did a good job. He covered a lot of issues and I was pleased with his remarks.
Gordon Boyce
I've
been waiting, and thank God still living, for a time like this. My
first one was FDR and I guess my last is President Trump thru 2024.
Gene B.
Donald Burton
Great
speech. He likely overstated deficit cause and reduction, but he made
it clear that he will hold foreign governments responsible for
their share of NATO's expense, blew the Democrats' wailing about racism
out of the water, and served notice on Congress that it is time to grow
up, cooperate, and get the nation back on track. His comments to the
widow of the Navy seal were touching, and even the grumbling Democrats
applauded. Schumer and Frank being exceptions. My only concern is what
might be his utopian view on healthcare, but I will wait for a lot more
detail.
to Tammy, me
![]() |
He
did great! He was clearly in charge, but refrained from attacking
anyone. He set out a clear vision and called upon Congress to work
together to get some
very necessary things done. He handled his special guests with a
compassion and grace the liberals try to deny that he has. He sent a
clear message to the world that he wants our allies to be able to trust
us again and our enemies to fear us, which is as
it should be. He let our military and veterans and law enforcement
officers know that he has their back. I was very proud that I voted for
him.
Larry PittmanBud Walling
Incredible,
we have our country back. Next on agenda determine the genesis of those
disrupting the town hall meetings. Have any democratic meetings been
disrupted.
Bud Walling
John Nevola
I thought it was good – not excellent – but effective. I’m not a fan of calling out people in the gallery and poor Mrs. Owen looked mortified. That was pure theatre at her expense. Same with the father of the slain young man though less intense. That is not necessary in a speech to a joint session of Congress.
He
repeated his platform without the attacks or insults which makes me
believe he can grow into this job. The consensus is he was
“presidential” whatever the hell that means. I think it means he
performed with some dignity and clarity, which I agree with, but we
should be talking about the substance of his policies rather than the
form of his presentation.
I
was riveted, waiting for his first gaff, and it didn’t come. A few
bobbles here and there to be expected. Instead the Dems acted like
petulant children by sitting most of the time and groaning when he
proposed an office to handle the victims of illegal immigrant crime. Do
they really want to keep Obamacare?? Seriously?
For those who expected Trump to come out looking childlike and be a buffoon, it was the Dems that stole that honor last night.
As
a conservative, I know he’ll not follow all of the principles I believe
in but I’ll have to eat the ones that don’t go my way. A 75%
conservative is better than Hillary and I’ll enjoy the policy
implementations I agree with. I can live with the rest.
Hillary Clinton
NOT MY PRESIDENT
I love to say that J
Louis Barnett
As he said when he was running, if you want presidential, I can be Presidential.
He was last night.
Hit it out of the park.
Never called Democrats names but either looked or gesture to them.
Positive and forward looking.
Hit big issues.
Called for helping Latinos and Blacks.
Challenged
the Democrats to come to the table on immigration reform but set a high
standard so that he can give up a lot and still get what he wants.Dee
In a word, Tony, President Trump was PRESIDENTIAL. From beginning
to end his speech was terrific, and he hit this one out of the park!
OUT OF THE PARK. Am I yelling? Heck, Yes! His points were beautifully
delivered, and anyone sitting there who didn't 'get it' should just get
out of the swamp and go home.
And what did YOU think, Tony!?
I thought it was excellent. Good speech, well delivered.
Waiting to see what the next 60 days brings. Regards
Tony,
The President was in command the day he took office. He strode into office with a very carefully thought out plan of what he wants to achieve. He isn't deterred by his enemies; knows exactly what he wants to accomplish it, and is working non stop to do them. His speech last night was a genuine American vision for the future and its effectiveness was shown by democrat angst in staring at him in disbelief. They truly live in another world, unfettered by reality.
President Trump's continued actions since assuming the office are thunderous in meaning. He has meant to fix, all along, the poor and middle class which have gotten the economic shaft while the monied class live behind their walled mansions oblivious to the horrible economy Obama left behind.
He has lived up to every expectation I had of him, from the day of his announcement to run. He's of my generation which remembers a patriotic love of this country and our laws! He is an answer to my years of prayer to end the culture war and jettison political correctness.
It was "The Italian Salute delivered to the progressives (really socialists) with language of steel.
John LaCava
Trump was awesome. Very compassionate yet firm in his determination to put America first. He did not do/say anything mean. He seemed smart and compassionate, wanting to qork together with both sides.I was very encouraged.
A HOME RUN.
Hi Tony,
I thought his speech was awesome. Most of the plans he articulated I had already heard as I am a Fox junkie. However, any of the liberal thinkers who watched the speech may have been hearing his ideas and plans for the first time.
I hope these liberal people also came away with the thing that impressed (or depressed ) me the most...... the negative reactions of the Democratic congress persons. The left is so upset with the fact that Trump won the election that they are completely focused on despising him and torpedoing all of his plans... even if they agree with them. How can any American citizen not want a safer environment both home and abroad, an improved economy, lower taxes, companies staying at home providing job opportunities, a less complex and less expensive health care system, better education, etc.etc. These folks are far more interested in getting back into power than making America stronger.
It will be very difficult for Trump to get all of his plans for a better America in place, as each these plans cost lots of money, however it will not be due to lack of effort on Trump's part. It is so refreshing to see a President who works as hard as Trump and who is simply trying to better things - not trying getting reelected. It just amazes me that so many people don't have the common sense to grasp that.
Finally, here are my thoughts......
Yes, President Trump he mentioned many of the points he made on the campaign trail which should be no surprise to people who understand Donald Trump.
"Tell them what you are going to tell them, tell them, then tell them what you told them." words first echoed by Aristotle.
What impressed me, but also something that did not surprise me, President Trump did not waiver...he repeated lines he had been criticized on. He knew this
would be the largest audience he has spoken to...many people who did not vote for him. Trump also knew the more he spoke of "solutions" (the missing
word from critics)
the more people would understand THIS is what every president should do....solve America's problems, not with untested programs
send from Washington, but on sensible approaches long avoided.
Based on the comments you provided and the 60% of viewers who shared similar views, Donald Trump has proven the best "politician" is not a politician at all!
Thanks again....

Democrat Party once again forgets '2nd class constituents'
Once again the Democrat Party goes with what it considers 'fashionable',
reaching out to those groups who pass the required victim-hood litmus test.
Today, 'refugees' from the Middle East join 'illegal immigrants' that demand
to stay in the country.
Last year 'transgenders', a "made up" concoction of people who become
distraught when told they must use the facilities of their DNA confirmed
genders made the list.
Two years ago 'Black Lives Matter', the militant anti-law enforcement group,
became an unlikely member of victims as it orchestrated protests inciting
riots, looting and even assassinations of police in many cities.
This is the clown car of "victims" that has grown larger as the Democrat Party
believes such a strategy will advance its vision of what America should be.
But, while they have decided this is how the party will find its way out of the
political wilderness, it once again will leave its most loyal constituency behind.
These are the 90% of Blacks who vote Democrat, still believing the unfulfilled
decades old promises that have proven to be lies. These are the real victims
of failed policies, not the manufactured ones the Democrat Party relish to
advance its designs for political power.
Tally up the carnage, the lost lives due to poor education, bullet riddled
streets and poverty that keeps them captive.
Its disappointing but not surprising Black members of Congress prefer to
boycott the Inauguration of President Trump and have time to attack his
policies, but can find no time to address the cancer that is destroying
communities of their own constituents!

The angry herd has a right to be angry!
OK, I get it. Election results affect citizens differently.
But, watching the angst against the election of Donald
Trump has been something to behold.
In so many cities across the nation we have seen protests
against President Trump, yet none addressing the issues
he campaigned on, security, safety, unfair trade deals, jobs
and failed governance.
Protesters scream its unfair illegal immigrants are being
deported and nasty comments that Trump is anti-this and
anti-that! Yet, little else is learned from disjointed complaints
that are barely coherent.
As it is with most lemmings these protesters are a herd, and
to believe they are "organic", rather than coordinated, you
are mistaken.
Worse, their outrage is pointed in the wrong direction, Trump's
election is not the problem for these angry Democrats.
President Trump's victory aside, the real story is that these
protesters have a problem with the Democrat Party that is on
life support after it has been destroyed in bastions it has
owned for one hundred years.
Most Democrat may not know it but the leadership definitely
does, the failed state of its party as Republicans control more
than thirty state legislatures as well as thirty governor-ships.
The insistence of "identity politics" has left the Democrat
Party with no recognizable identity. The party of "people
of color" has no 'color' of its own. It drifts to quiet the
loudest voices and 'oil' the squeakiest wheels.
The Democrat Party is ruled by an entitled, dict-oral
establishment that determines which politicians will
be ordained for high office.
Don't ever expect dissent towards the orthodoxy to be
respected. Seek out a Black Democrat minister pleading
to stop the late term genocide that has all but destroyed
the 'soul' of many communities, only to have his cry fall
on deaf ears!
Or, try to find Democrats deeply concerned that low
skilled young Americans are mired on unemployment
as illegal immigrants easily jettison to our country due
to the refusal of our government to enforce immigration
laws so they can find gainful employment.
Lest we forget corruption....
Our country saw first hand the attempted public coronation
of Hillary Clinton even as dozens of formidable and more
qualified members of the party should have been encouraged
to compete. All were "persona non grata".
Only Bernie Sanders offered a serious challenge and might
have won if the process was not 'rigged'.
Yet, even the unexpected lose by Clinton is not enough
for this misguided party to right its course.
The angry herd has a right to be angry!
But, not at Donald Trump, its the Democrat Party which
should feel their wrath.
Democrats have sold out to teacher unions, well-healed
non-profits, academia, "people of color" lobbyists and
Wall St. donors at the expense of the American worker
and the best interests of our nation.
Granted, the Republican Party has done its part, doing
the bidding of its donors and lobbyists, also at the
expense of the American worker.
The Washington establishment "already got theirs", and
even their children will "get theirs" in due time.
Not so fortunate are the majority of Americans, the
middle class, the poorly educated and low skilled.
They have to fight over the scraps the establishment
has no interest in.
Like him or not, President Trump changed all this, giving
voice to those who others refused to listen to.
President Trump's critics should take a breath, give him
the same 'honeymoon' all presidents receive.
Let President Trump prove he can deliver on his campaign
promises. For if he does even his most ardent critics attending
protest rallies will benefit.
As President Trump said time and again, "What have you got to lose?"
