The 'Diversity' Visa does not provide a "measurable benefit"!

Up until the attack in NYC by a young man who arrived here in 2010 from Pakistan
on a 'diversity visa' I never heard of this program.

But, with any degree of serious thought I should have not been surprised.  'Diversity'
with a solid connection to "identity politics" has taken its place among the most
sacrosanct of Leftist theology.

What is a 'diversity visa'?  Its history can be found on Wikipedia,

Quite simply if your White uncle Lars wants to come to the US from Norway he
probably would  not qualify.  However, if your Muslim cousin Hassan desires to
come here from Pakistan, he would qualify under this visa program as some
regions get preference under the 'diversity visa'.

What occurred over the past few decades has been a 'drift' from the best interests
of our nation to the prejudiced system, that benefits some at the expense of others,
namely foreign White citizens seeking to immigrate here that must take a back seat
to members of any racial and even non-Christian groups solely in the name of 'diversity'.

The legislators that coupled 'diversity' with immigration need to take a lesson of what
immigration means, not only here in the US, but in every country!  I know of NO country
which allows the desire of immigrants to supersede the benefit to itself.

Immigration's sole purpose should be to provide a "measurable benefit" to the country,
not to the individual seeking to immigrate here.

Unfortunately, it has not.  Politicians from other countries and lobbyists have influenced
American politicians to offer visas to people solely on demographics, not on the benefit
to our country.

President Trump campaigned on safety and security and he was the only candidate to
introduced "merit based" immigration legislation. Isn't this the common sense approach
where a nation seeks the best immigrants to meet our country's needs?

And who are these people?  Every major university knows first hand, each see students
opting towards  'soft' curriculum, forgoing math and science study, medical professionals,
and technology professionals.  Even skilled labor is found wanting!

These are the people our country needs, we do not need people who do not speak
our language, and can only work at low skilled jobs.

Maybe the eight lives lost in NYC will not be in vain if our politicians finally end this
program that does nothing for our country.
