even though it often does in more ways than we know.
But, this weekend the establishment showed where it stands, or at least its
political leanings, and in a not so surprising place, Washington, DC!
This occurred at an event barely discussed, the Republican's primary election
to choose its nominee. It is even surprising the party would waste its time and
money in Washington where the population gave Obama 91%....highest in the
nation! But, they did.
The results should give every Republican pause, for it demonstrates the leaning
of the party's establishment and proves how the party is more out of step with
its electorate than is being reported, and provides party leaders a message which
needs to be heeded.
The results: Rubio: 37%, Kasich: 35%, Trump: 14%, Cruz: 12%. Over 70%
went to the men who finished first and second, and not even 30% for the two
men who will likely be the nominee!
Take a moment and digest these results.
The two leading candidates in every primary battle by a wide margin are Trump
and Cruz. Yet, in Washington, DC neither man was a serious challenger and
LOST to the also rans, Rubio and Kasich by a similarly wide margin!
The Washington, DC primary is already forgotten, attention is now on NC, FL
and OH primaries which will be decided on Tuesday.
Lets hope this 180 degree result which shows the electorate how disconnected the
Republicans in Washington are with the rest of the country is not forgotten!
Maybe this wake up call from Washington gets the establishment out of its hibernation!
