"Sellouts" in the Democrat Party

If you closely follow politics you already know elected officials
often disappoint, especially when campaign promises are broken
and they "sell out" the people who elected them.

All politicians do this. In some instances we can understand, but
in many others we see a trail of corrupting influence. Most dismiss
our concerns knowing the chance their decisions will cost them an
election is small.

This is why so many people have left the Democrat and Republican
parties and registered as "unaffiliated", known as Independents!

But, "Sellouts" can also be seen among the electorate, primarily in the
Democrat Party where several groups gave up their principled beliefs
allowing the party to disrespect them, yet remaining loyal.

This is the worst kind because they have to live with themselves!

We see it in the most loyal group of Democrats who have voted
90% for Democrat candidates. This group of "traditional values"
Americans has been insulted time and again. The concerns they
have towards the positions on gay marriage, abortion, amnesty
for illegals and school choice are always ignored. No matter their
loyalty African-Americans have been disrespected time and again.

We see it in the rank and file members of labor unions whose dues
are given to Democrat politicians who vote on trade deals that cost
them jobs, yet they continue to vote Democrat.

We see it among feminists that sold their "soul" in the 1990s when
they remained mum about Bill Clinton's treatment of women, even
to the point of allowing Hillary to orchestrate a political attack on
women who came forward.  Respect for women by feminists only
goes so far, no further than the gates of the White House, as they
continue to vote Democrat.

We see this among millions of teachers who are beholden to their
unions rather than quality education. This once proud vocation is
just another industry with a "bottom line" that is out of line with
the desires of  students who leave school barely prepared for
work, no less higher education. Yet, most do as instructed,
"sellout" rather than speak out!

This is the defining difference between the Democrat and
Republican parties.  Yes, we can find  behavior in many of
the people we elect. But, when the electorate is also guilty
of "selling out", we have no one else to blame!
