What type of presidency can we expect...

It wouldn't be news to point out how differently Hillary Clinton
and Donald Trump would address problems facing our nation;
its been reported throughout their campaigns.

But it would to suggest how they would interact with the media
and the American people.

Undecided voters should consider what the media hasn't discussed,
how Clinton and Trump would communicate once elected.

Its shouldn't be hard as both have been in the public eye for
decades so we have a pattern to reference.

Donald Trump's life has been an open book by his own choosing.
He thrives on engaging with people, celebrities, business moguls,
world leaders and now politicians.

His personal life and business dealings are there for all to
see, on the public record, both successes and failures! If
there were "smoking guns", they would have already been fired.

By deciding to run for the presidency Trump took on fourteen
experienced politicians, a difficult task for anyone, no less
an "outsider".

As a master in 'branding' Trump used name recognition and
the most unorthodoxed approach to gain attention. He also
went a step further most candidates would not take, he made
himself available like no politician ever would, especially
in the 'gotcha journalism' world we are in.

Trump did not toss aside the political playbook, he rewrote
it!  He approached the media like a bull in a china shop, by
appearing everywhere to promote his campaign.

He was fearless, went on every network, no matter the obvious
bias Republicans are accustomed to seeing. He answered every
question. Not once do I recall him saying, "I don't recall"!

It worked, polls from the very beginning showed he would be
competitive even as tens of millions of dollars were spent
on ADs to defeat him.

The most comical comment made by his competitors was, "its not
fair Trump is getting 'free air' time". Even the media which
must of second guessed the wisdom of giving Trump the exposure
calculated the value, over $1 billion.

After dispatching his challengers and winning the Republican
nomination Trump did not rest, he continued to travel around
having rallies in multiple states, four or five times per week,
often two per day.

Nor did Trump have fund raisers. His focus was on bringing his
message to the electorate, campaigning on solutions!

This is what got Donald Trump this far and may get him elected.

Hillary Clinton is not Donald Trump. She has never exposed herself
to an audience or media not of her choosing. She would never do
what Trump did.

Clinton's appearances are controlled and orchestrated, a red flag
warning towards anyone who wants to serve the public.

Her approach is 'retail politics' with one caveat. Every event must
be tightly controlled.  There must be no chance the 'show' would go
off script. Clinton must be in control, even to the point of knowing
questions in advance whether they come from the media or 'random'
audience member at a town hall.

She prefers to stay out of the public unless there is an advantage.
Her primary 'opponent' Bernie Sanders was more a nuisance than a
serious competitor; Clinton knew from the very beginning she would
be the nominee.

Clinton was so confident most of her time was on fund raising even
though she already had more than she needed, an indication which
should be troubling that the public needs to understand about her.

She shows little interest connecting with voters, only donors!

The media has been tallying the number of days Clinton has gone
without a press conference, now about 300 days. This is a clear
indication of what to expect from "President Clinton".

Clinton has consistently refused to sit down for most interviews.
Even Fox News, the network with the largest audience has offered
her 'open invitation' to appear and has appeared three times in
the past decade!

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have clearly shown us what to
expect if elected. Trump will engage while Clinton will avoid.

Trump has demonstrated he enjoys people, the give and take, working
to fix problems and even answer difficult questions.

Donald Trump might be the most engaged and accessible president our
country has ever had since FDR introduced his 'fireside chats'!

I cannot be confident Hillary Clinton would offer the media or the
American people the access that Trump would. There is nothing in her
past to indicate she would do this.

If and when she is confronted by tough questions we already know
how Clinton will respond. She would do what she did when pressed
by debate moderators and at Congressional hearings, her answers
has already been scripted. "I don't recall"!

As president, Clinton will follow the pattern of President Obama
who attended 228 fund raiser during his 2012 reelection campaign.

She would travel the country and the world raising money for her party,
herself and the family foundation.

If connecting with our next president is important the choice is clear.
