The value of a name, its in the mind of the beholder!

Labels are common, liberal, conservative, Republican, Democrat, straight, gay.
This is what we have become, a nation of labels.

No longer can we look at someone and see them for who they are. No, we must
first hear what THEY say they are.

Aren't these just "words" meaning nothing other than what people profess to be?

We see no accomplishments, no bodies of work, only a blank resume of nothing
other a title, their "label".

Over time new labels are introduced to make someone fit neatly where their
never was a "fit" before. These labels are creations of humankind to create
a legitimacy into a category that without a label would be an abnormality.

In recent years the label "gender identity" has been created to subset found
in the LGBT community....the "T" standing for transgenders.

Here in NC, "gender identity" has been national news as transgenders believe
they are discriminated against if they cannot use a restroom or locker room
of THEIR preference, rather then the one their biological being determines.

I can't add more to this absurdity but to close with a ditty, from the old
TV show, "Mr. Ed", the talking horse

A horse is a horse, of course, of course

Such is a meaningless label.....
